Every Wednesday, from 01/15/2020 to 03/04/2020, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
At E91, our mission is helping people take next steps with Jesus. Jesus gave us clear instructions in the great commission: go and make disciples. And part of our mission at E91 is to fully equip people to live out this commission.
This winter, we are offering a variety of Wednesday Night classes to help equip you personally for whatever your next step might be. Classes will run 8 weeks: From January 15 - March 4, 2020.
All classes are free to attend (though some classes may require the purchase of book or materials) and will be held at E91 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Free Childcare is available!
Please register for the class you plan to attend to help ensure we have enough spaces in each room for everyone.
From the Builders to GenZ, we are currently living among five generations. Many ideas from our own generation including culture, technology, and major events have influenced what we value most. Though we have differences, every generation has something to offer. This is especially true for the Church. In this 8 week class led by Marc Boudouris, we will explore the strengths and challenges of each generation and learn how to leverage our differences to strengthen our unity as the Body of Christ so that we can better advance the Kingdom of God!
Making Ethical Choices
How do Christians respond to a "multi-everything" world? This 8-week class taught by Jeff Dodge will continue to dig into Christian ethics and Biblical guidelines to moral conversations with people seeking answers to current moral questions by comparing moral ideals with Christian ethics. This class is a continuation of the conversation, so both new and repeat attendees are welcome.
Studying Our Favorite Things
This 8-week class will be team-led by the Elder Council of E91. Each week one elder will lead a session of teaching and discussion on one of their personal favorite passages of scripture.
Married for Good
This 8-week class led by Dave and Candy Faust is designed for couples in any stage of marriage, engagement or pre-engagement who want to strengthen their relationship, or individuals who want to learn more about God's design for marriage. Dave & Candy aren't marriage counselors or therapists, but they bring 44 years of marriage and ministry experience to lead a group discussion of Biblical and practical topics including personality differences, communication, conflict, extended family, money management, health issues, sexual faithfulness, parenting and other issues that create stress in marriage, and provide opportunities for married couples to grow.
Beginning on January 15th, the first of two 4-week courses taught by Gerri Baker will cover encounters with Jesus from the Gospels. Using a storytelling format, we will engage in the life of Christ in a new way. This class will energize your own study while giving you the tools to use when drawing closer in the Word.
Beginning on February 12th, the second 4-week study will focus on strengthening your prayer life. This activity based class will encourage deeper growth while exploring different ways to pray. Each person will come away with a new sense of God's presence and experience an appreciation for the many ways God can speak to us.
Making Space and Caring Well for LGBTQ People
This 6-week series led by Ty Wyss is designed to equip church members and leaders to care well for LGBTQ people, and help them to take next steps in their relationship with Jesus. This series will focus on receiving and caring for people and will add nuance and practical application to an often divisive and confusing topic, empowering Christians, our families, and our churches to love LGBTQ people generously without sacrificing theologically conservative beliefs on sexuality and gender. This class will have a materials fee of $60.
Exploring the Enneagram
This 4-week class led by Megan Rogg is an introduction to the Enneagram. We will explore the basics of this tool of wisdom in hopes of growing awareness of self, God, and others. This class will have a materials fee.
Financial Peace University
This class led by Jason Gillespie and Robert Roach will follow Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University schedule, learning how to make and stick to a budget, and achieve true financial peace. This class will have a materials fee. Kickoff is January 8th.
