My goal is to create a safe environment where clients are free to work through the obstacles they face. I encourage and challenge clients toward holistic growth, looking at the physical, psychological, relational, and spiritual aspects of life. I am passionate about helping couples enrich their relationships though Christ-centered counseling, whether they are considering engagement, learning to communicate and resolve conflict, managing finances, growing and rekindling love, healing from infidelity, or taking a good marriage to the next level. I come alongside individuals as they gain an understanding of their identity in Christ and walk through struggles with depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, forgiveness, divorce, and grief. I also enjoy working with families to develop effective parenting strategies and manage the transition from parenting children to parenting adolescents.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, spent 16 years in the banking industry, and served as a financial coach and marriage mentor before God prompted me to become a Christian counselor. I completed a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University and I am pursuing licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Purposeful, devoted time with my family and with the Lord is very important in keeping my heart full, and it works to build strong bonds in the relationships I hold close. When I am not counseling, I enjoy playing games and watching superhero movies with my three sons, reading and studying God’s Word, and date night with my husband of 15 years.
