Vision & Mission
The vision of the Church Planting Ministry of East 91st Street Christian Church is to encourage a church planting movement among the Christian Churches of North America.
A church planting movement is defined as a “rapid and multiplicative increase of indigenous churches planting churches within a given people group or population segment.”
Contained within the formational vision steps of every new church and every new church planter will be a strategy for starting multiple generations of new churches. We believe God is calling us to a greater vision than simply planting new churches. We believe He is calling us to impact the world.
The mission of the Church Planting Ministry of East 91st Street Christian Church is to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by planting reproducing churches in highly unchurched regions.
This is a biblical mission. In obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) we are seeking to share the Good News with people around the world. We will actively seek lost people by planting a church among them, which will reproduce itself to continue to reach people around the world (Acts 1:8). These world-class churches will be planted in areas of regional significance throughout North America. Church plant sites are also chosen based on population growth and spiritual need.
