E91CC Foundation

E91CC Foundation

East 91st Street Christian Church Foundation
Established in 1994, the Foundation provides church members and friends a way to leave a lasting legacy for the support of Christian service. The Foundation receives donations through bequests and lifetime gifts. These make up the basis of the Foundation. Each year the income from this investment is donated to various Christian organizations.

The Foundation provides God’s people with a way to remember Christ and give portions of their assets back to God, “the owner of all."

“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over it will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”  Luke 6:38

What is a “steward”?
From a biblical perspective, a steward is someone who recognizes God as the Provider and true owner of all. This person manages God’s property and with a grateful heart gives thanks by giving back to God.

What is the Foundation’s purpose?
It is a charitable establishment, available to assist you in faithfully handling your stewardship responsibility.

How does it work?
Through estate and gift planning, the Foundation will help you share your resources with Christian organizations within our city and our world. The Foundation lays the groundwork so your resources make lasting gifts for new and expanding ministries in the fields of benevolence, church planting, education, evangelism, medical care, local and global missions, E91 Christian Church expansion and outreach.

Can I make gifts now instead of waiting until I die?
Yes!  There are several ways to do this.

  • Unrestricted Gifts
  • Donor Advised Funds
  • Designated Gifts
  • Field of Interest
  • Outright Gifts of Cash, Securities

You can give a gift in Honor of Someone Special or some Special Occasion. This gift can be acknowledged to the Honoree.

What are Memorial Gifts?
Memorial donations may be given as a way to remember family and loved ones who pass away. These gifts are often given in lieu of sending flowers. The Foundation acknowledges all Memorial Gifts.  A list of names and addresses of those sending memorial gifts are sent to the family of the deceased.

Can the Foundation assist me in becoming a steward?
Yes!  The Board can provide information to help you develop a plan for your estate.  This assistance is provided with no obligation to make a gift to the Foundation.

“In the last analysis, the dearest, sweetest thing in life is the consciousness, in the inner depths of our motives, that we live for Christ; and, though our efforts be ever so feeble, we toil at our daily tasks, in hope of, in the final roundup, having done something to lay, in humble gratitude and adoration, as an offering at His feet.”  Halley’s Bible Handbook: Twenty-Fourth (revised) Edition, page 21

“Everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your hand.” 1 Chronicles 28:14
