I came to E91 in 1990 and began working in Children’s Ministry in 1994. I served in Children’s Ministry in various capacities before becoming  the Children’s Ministry Assistant in 2000.

I believe strongly in children’s ministry so my role brings me joy because the support I give to the ministry team allows them to build a spiritual foundation with children in their most formative years.

I have been the Junior High Student Pastor at E91 since 2006. I trained for ministry at Milligan College in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee.

The most rewarding part of working at E91 for me is that I actually grew up here, attending since I was in the first grade. God captured my life in Junior High, so it is a joy to give back and work with our awesome students!

In 2004, I accepted the position of Director of Senior Adult Ministries.  I am responsible for making sure we have ministries and volunteers in place to serve our senior adult members, ages 65 and older.  

The biggest blessing of this ministry for me is serving alongside and really learning from these members who I am supposed to be serving!

I started teaching Preschool and Little Friends at God's Kids in 1989. After 13 years in the classroom, I became Assistant Director. During my time with God's Kids Early Learning Ministry, I have had the pleasure of seeing God bless and direct this program. We have grown to include Kindergarten classes, Pre-Kindergarten classes, full-time Daycare and this fall, we are starting infant classes.

I feel so blessed to be a part of God's Kids Early Learning Ministry at E91 and surrounded by God's precious children every school day.

I seem to remember graduating sometime last century from Indiana University! After two years in the Air Force, with service in Korean occupation and Taiwan, I signed on with the Telephone Company for the next 34 years.

Northwood Christian Church is my home church where I have served as Elder, Moderator of the Board, and Treasurer.

My wife Lolita and I are the proud parents of four married children, and grandparents to five.  My almost 20 years at E91 have given me the opportunity to extend my working life in a wonderfully caring community of service and fellowship.

In 2006, I accepted a position at E91 working as a part-time assessment counselor. In 2007, I became an ordained Pastor and began working in an increased capacity as the full-time Associate Counseling Pastor. Since that time, I have received my certification as an Addictions Counselor (ICAC-II) and Supervisor (CCS).

I enjoy my role tremendously in overseeing our counseling assessment process and assisting with the supervision of our counseling intern staff.

I have a minor in music, and throughout my life, have been involved in music in various ways.

I came to E91 in 1984 and was an Administrative Assistant serving in several ministry areas. Most of my years were spent in the Adult Discipleship and Counseling Ministry. In 2008, I became the Special Event Coordinator where my primary responsibilities are to handle the large events in the building such
as weddings, funerals, seminars, conferences, and concerts. I also work on a part-time basis with Crucible Counseling, helping with administrative duties.

Prior to coming to E91, I served for 18 years as European Vice President, Director of the Leadership and Church Planting Center, and Associate Professor of Discipleship for the TCM International Institute, a graduate leadership training program offering accredited M.A. and M.Div. seminary degrees, with its main campus in Heiligenkreuz, Austria, and thirteen additional course locations throughout Europe and Central Asia. My church membership has been at E91 since 1976; in 1993, I was ordained at the church.

I like to read, bike, hike, and play tennis; but most of all, I love to spend time with my wife Patty and our three sons, Mark, Jacob, and Taylor.

I enjoy not only being the resident "computer guy" but also Pastor. If you are ever in the hospital and need someone to pray with you, I might be the pastor who has the chance to visit you.

I joined the E91 staff in September 2008.  I currently oversee the Community Life ministry at E91 and serve as one of our lead communicators on the Preaching Team. I am very passionate about expanding the Kingdom outside the walls of the the church, and I lead an outreach ministry called “Pub Theology", which helps to do that each Sunday night.

I have been married to my wife Julie since 2001 and we have three sons; Cole, Ty and Knox.  If I'm not working, you might find me listening to U2, playing PS3 or watching NASCAR!

After 19 years of teaching in Christian colleges, the Lord called me to E91 to lead its worship ministry. As of July 2011, I began my 19th year of ministering with godly folks who give their time and talents to sing, play, act, dance (and a myriad of other artistic expressions) to point people to Jesus.

I have a BS in Communications and Secondary Education from Ball State University. My first job at E91 was as a part-time computer administrative assistant to Children's Ministry (October 2000) from which I was quickly reassigned to Scheduling and Database support and I currently hold this position. 

The thing I enjoy most about my role at E91 is that gives me proximity to teaching and writing opportunities, which I consider to be my passionate and personal ministry calling.

I began working at God’s Kids in January of 1993. My first teaching assignment was with two-year olds, then two years with three-year olds, and then two years with four-year olds. I taught Kindergarten for two years before becoming the director in 2000. The program has changed from a part-time program to a full-time childcare and we began serving infants in the fall of 2010.

My husband Steve and I were married at E91 in 1978. We have three children: George, Meg and Bethany. George is married to Kelly and they have one child, Ashlyn.

My Bachelor’s degree is from Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky and my Master’s in Early Childhood Education is from Ball State University.

When I’m not working I enjoy cooking, scrapbooking and reading.

I joined the E91 staff in August of 1995 as a part of the Facilities department and I'm currently the Facilities Coordinator.

I enjoy the wide variety of things that I do each day, from working inside the church building on event set-ups, furniture moves, and light maintenance to working outside by assisting our Lawn Care & Garden Team.

I like helping people and assisting with the many E91 ministries like Solomon’s Wardrobe, Best Years Fellowship, and God’s Kid’s Early Learning Ministry, just to name a few.

I have been a member of E91 since 1983, the same year I married my wife Kathy. We have three daughters, Lisa (23), Courtney (20) and Rebecca (16). 

I currently serve as the teacher of the Outreach ABF class and WGHM (Wholly God’s Holy Men), a Saturday morning men’s group.

I have served on the E91 staff for almost five years as Administrator and I'm currently the Executive Pastor - Ministries. I was also recently affirmed as an Elder at E91.

I graduated from Wabash College with a degree in economics. I spent the first 6 1/2 years of my career working in various management and finance positions for Hyatt Hotels. I then transitioned into ministry, working as the Finance Director for Christian Missionary Fellowship for 11 1/2 years. 

I joined the E91 staff in January 2001 and have served as the Finance Director since.  My wife, Gina, and I have been members at E91 since May of 1985 and we have two children, Rachel and Nick.

Beginning with the solid foundation that Jesus Christ is Lord of all, members find the hope, resources and knowledge to overcome life’s challenges. I began attending E91 in 1985.  I was involved in JRM, Dunamis Class, Choir, Children’s ministry, Bell Choir, Choir and anything else that peaked my interest.  Years ago, my husband Brian and I along with five other families started the “ROCK” (Really Outstanding Christian Kids). It was a children’s church that took off and has taken many forms since then. We had a blast serving children at E91. 

My ministry now is focused on serving individuals with special needs and their families.  Having taught special education in the public schools for 18 years, I love connecting families and resources without all the paperwork. E91 is blessed to have many special friends from birth to adults. Count yourself privileged if you are in acquaintance with any of our special friends.  

I also serve our growing Deaf Church, headed by Rex Brake.  All of the members of our Deaf Church have a heart for the Lord and a desire to share Christ with deaf individuals.

I count it an honor and a blessing to serve at E91.

I left the marketplace in 1997 and planted a church in Cary, NC called Crosspointe.  While there, Crosspointe was able to help plant three additional churches.  Today, nearly 5000 people are part of those congregations.

I've been on the staff of E91 since the fall of 2004, serving in the church planting area. I really enjoy seeing people who have been far from God do a complete 180 turn in following after Jesus. 

I'm a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University and have a Masters degree in ministry from Kentucky Christian University. Our family lives in the Lansing area of Michigan and we enjoy rooting for Michigan State.  Shelly and I have been married for 26 years and have two children. Our daughter Alana is a sophomore in college and our son Michael is a junior in high school.

I began my ministry at E91 by volunteering to do computer support work for Childrens Ministry, while I worked full-time developing software for an electronics company. When that company sold a part of its business to China, I took a very sweet buyout package and was enjoying some time off, when Children's Ministry called and asked if I would fill in for someone on sick leave. I did, and all these years later, I'm still here!

In 2008, when the church determined that it was necessary to replace their church database, I transitioned from Childrens Ministry to Database Systems management. I've been leading the project to select and implement a new church management system for E91.

I have had the pleasure of working in the worship department supporting the traditional worship services and overseeing the School of Fine Arts ministry since 1999.  For over 20 years, I have fulfilled several church musician roles from organist and choir director to Sunday school teacher and worship leader. I have a passion for equipping volunteers for service in worship and reaching the lost through the common language of the arts.

I am the organist at E91 and a graduate of St. Cloud State University, Moody Bible Institute and
Westminster Choir College.

I have studied organ with Dr. Elizabeth Naegele, Joan Lippincott and with Dr. Marilyn Keiser at Indiana University. I teach on the faculty of the E91 School of Fine Arts and I'm a member of Indianapolis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

I enjoy providing beautiful music for our traditional services at E91. Our Schantz Pipe Organ has over 6,000 pipes . .each one a voice, singing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ and supporting our congregation in worship. In our School of Fine Arts, I enjoy teaching creative hymn playing
to students who are seeking to develop their talents for the Lord.

I joined the E91 staff in 2007 as the Global Outreach Coordinator and recently accepted the position of Interim Global Outreach Director. I grew up in England where my parents were missionaries & church planters with CMF. After graduating from Milligan College in Tennessee, where I met my husband, Evan, I returned to England until July 2007.

Together, Evan and I enjoy hiking, traveling, watching movies and visiting our local drive-in movie theatre. We live on a small hobby farm with four cats and a dog but plan to add to our family with a couple of horses and maybe a goat or two.

I'm passionate about being intentional and purposeful in my walk with Christ and empowering others to see who they are in Christ to reach their potential. Growing up as a missionary kid in England is still an important part of who I am today and is what still draws me to work in Global Outreach. Who is God calling you to reach?

Don’t be fooled by the baby face! Even though I'm one of the youngest members of our staff, I have more life experience than many adults my age, including a tour in Iraq. I came to E91 in February 2008 as a KidsWorld intern, working with 3rd-4th graders. I graduated from Anderson University with BA in Christian Ministries in May 2008 and then began full-time ministry at E91 in April 2009. 

I now have the privilege of leading and serving 3rd-6th graders, their families, and many awesome volunteers. I enjoy helping kids in this life stage figure out what it means to follow Jesus in their daily lives.
 
My wife, Stephanie, and I were married in January 2008 and we welcomed our first son, Noah, in January 2010.  When I'm not at the church, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing golf, and playing softball.

I joined the E91 staff in the fall of 1994 and serve in the area of Church Planting. I have lived in the Portland, Oregon for 10 years where I help focus our church planting efforts in the Pacific Northwest, partnering with churches and associations here. I served as a missionary in several places in Latin America before coming to E91. My passion is to reach as many people as possible for Christ through starting relevant and effective new churches.

In our leisure time, my wife Leslie and I enjoy being with our two grown children and six grandchildren, as well as our extended family.  I also enjoy training and hunting with my Labrador Retrievers and competing them in AKC Hunt Tests.

I am a graduate of Puget Sound Christian College and of Fuller Seminary with a Master of Arts degree.

I came to E91 in June of 2011 as the Facilities Director. I have been in the construction business for 40 years and for the last 9 years I served in Vienna, Austria at Haus Edelweiss for TCMII. 

My time in Austria has broadened my view of Christianity all over Europe. I have been married to Debbie now for 39 years and we had one daughter, Krista, who died at the age of 22 from Cystic Fibrosis. We also have seven exchange students son (6) and daughter (1) from three different countries.

My goal is to serve God to the best of my abilities with the talents He gave to me.

I attended East 91st Street Christian Church from 2002 - 2007.  At the end of 2007, I lost my job and the Lord directed me to move back to New York to live with my family. I had worked in the mortgage industry for 24 years. I lived in my hometown of Montgomery, NY for 3 ½ years, then the Lord directed me to return to Indiana. 

I moved back to Fishers, IN in 2011 and immediately returned to my church home of E91.  About 7 years ago, I realized my passion and heart’s desire was to work for my church.  I am blessed beyond measure to be a part of the E91 staff.  God is truly amazing and it is an honor to serve Him here both as a staff member and servant in ministries.

I came to E91 in 2004 after an interesting 'career path.' I graduated from Purdue in 1993 with a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering. After a few years of work, I felt led to work more directly with people. I returned to Purdue in 1995 to pursue a degree in Education K-6. During that time God laid young adults on my heart. I became really involved in a Campus Ministry (Purdue Christian Campus House) and ended up doing a 2 yr internship there before returning to Indianapolis.

After 4 years of teaching 2nd grade & Kindergarten, I was led to E91 where I live out my passion of leading young adults to grow in Christ and I love it! I also have a passion for learning and am able to help lead the teaching classes as well.

Joyce Rowland

I have been a member of E91 since 1972 (when it was still East 49th Street Christian Church) and that’s when I began volunteering in children’s ministry.  I taught elementary school and kindergarten for 6 ½ years before starting our family and deciding to stay home with our kids.  I became the director of the weekday preschool (now God’s Kids Early Learning Ministry) in 1986 and continued in that position until I became the Nursery/Early Childhood Director in 2002. 

I am happy to be responsible for all matters concerning babies through 3-year olds and their families as I enjoy getting to know parents and supporting them in their role as the spiritual leaders of their homes.

It is also my privilege to supervise the administrative staff of God’s Kids Early Learning Ministry as the program continues to serve families from E91 and the surrounding community. God continues to educate me in His ways and use me here at E91 in ways I would never have imagined.

After working in sales and public health, I was ordained to the Ministry in 1963. Following this, I served churches in Tennessee, Indiana and California for 21 years. The next 16 years, I served as a national resource person in Christian education, church growth and leadership development for Christian churches.

In 1999, I became the Senior Adult Minister here at E91 and I serve our Lord with a wonderful group of seniors. I also conduct several weddings for young couples every year.

I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Journalism and English and really had a desire to use my education to serve God and others. In 1997, I began my ministry at E91 in the Family Ministries area. Since that time, I've served in several departments and have loved gaining new perspectives on our various areas of ministry.

In 2002, I transitioned into the role of Communications Director and I now oversee the Communications Team. It is a blessing and a privilege to work with all of our E91 ministries to help them connect and communicate with our congregation and community. I love to watch how God takes the talents of His people, whether small or great, and transforms them into something beautiful for His kingdom.

My husband Eric and I have two children and have been involved at E91 for more than 15 years.

I have been a children’s pastor for over twelve years and believe I have the best occupation in the world. I grew up in Avon, Indiana and my home church is Kingsway Christian, where I was baptized, ordained, and married. I am married to my best friend Laura, and we have two adorable daughters, Hannah Grace and Hillary Faith.    
 
I enjoy golf, basketball, fishing, boating, handy man projects around the house, and equipping other ministries around the world through my children’s ministry website, minister2kids.com. My passion and desire is to provide a pathway for children to grow in their relationship with Christ and to partner with families in their spiritual formation.

Having recently moved to Indianapolis, I joined the ministry of E91 in 2010 as the Office Manager of Crucible Counseling Center.  I also provide support in the area of E91’s Congregational Care ministry. 

I consider it a blessing to serve in a ministry where I can utilize my past experience in medical office management and my recent earning of a degree in Social Sciences.

I moved to Indianapolis in 1991 after graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Journalism and Fine Art. I didn’t know anyone in Indianapolis then, so a co-worker invited me to E91 to meet people and get connected. Right away I knew I’d found my church home. I was working as a graphic artist at the time and volunteering on E91’s communications team. One Sunday I saw an ad in the bulletin looking for a full-time addition to the team. I couldn’t apply fast enough!

I’ve been on staff for four years and feel blessed to be a part of the E91 family. Working and worshipping here is like having an endless supply of grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters. It’s a privilege to serve at E91 and be a part of all that God is doing in our congregation, in our city, and in our world.
