Stewardship
God asks us to manage His property.
A Christian steward is someone who recognizes God as the Provider and “true owner of all.” This person manages God’s property and with a grateful heart gives thanks by giving back to God.
What is God’s plan of stewardship for you? When a person recognizes God as owner of all their personal assets is a wonderful beginning.
Every Christian should have an estate plan that is designed from a Christian stewardship perspective – a plan that includes Christian charitable organizations as a recipient of a portion of their property.
“Everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your hand.” (1 Chronicles 29:14, NIV)
“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with the new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9,10, NIV)
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you have me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Mathew 25:35,36, NIV)
“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use. It will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38, NIV)
